Fruit 01
Love :
Strawberry
Strawberries are shaped like hearts and are vibrant red; classic symbols for love. However, for me, strawberries carry a memory.
Growing up, my grandmother and I used to pick strawberries together in her backyard. She's passed now, but those joyful afternoons remain one of my deepest pictures of unconditional love.
In the background of this piece are strawberry blossoms. Just like how strawberries can grow from any blossom on the plant, love can grow from any of us as long as we are connected to Jesus.

Fruit 02
Joy:
Orange
Growing up in Florida with an orange grove right across the street, some of my most vivid memories from my childhood include standing beneath orange tree branches, looking up through the leaves at oranges set against a brilliant blue sky. In this painting, I wanted to capture that perspective so you can step into the shoes of a child and look up.
Jesus calls us to come to Him with the open heart and simple faith of a child. I invite you to look up into the sunny canopy, for a gentle reminder of our calling as followers of Jesus. For a moment, let go of adult worry, embrace childlike trust, and feel the steady, radiant joy of God's goodness in our lives.
Fruit 03

Peace:
Cucumber
When I think of cucumbers, my mind often drifts to the serene, quiet atmosphere of a spa, with crisp slices resting over closed eyes, inviting us to slow down, breathe deeply, and release tension. However, I painted pickles!
While fresh produce or a spa trip quickly fades, the pickling process preserves cucumbers to withstand the test of time. True peace found in God is not a fragile, momentary feeling, but a preserved peace. It is the kind of deep stillness that has soaked in God’s grace, keeping our hearts settled and resilient even when placed in a chaotic world.

Fruit 04
Patience:
Apple
An apple naturally evokes thoughts of teachers and classrooms, symbolizing the guidance and care needed to nurture young minds. Yet at the heart of teaching lies one essential virtue: patience.
If earthly teachers require profound patience to guide their students, how much more patient must God be as our Ultimate Teacher? As He gently instructs us, He shows boundless grace, giving us time to learn, stumble, and grow.
This piece invites us to reflect on patience in our own lives while honoring the Creator who never gives up on us.
Fruit 05

Kindness:
Watermelon
Watermelon is meant to be sliced and shared among friends, family, and neighbors. When cut, each slice naturally forms the shape of a welcoming smile, which, of course, is a universal symbol of simple human kindness.
Much like its thick rind, kindness rooted in God requires a tough, resilient exterior to endure a broken world, yet its heart remains sweet, soft, and ready to be given away. Sharing kindness brings refreshing joy to both the giver and the receiver, serving as a reflection of God’s sweet grace toward us.

Fruit 06
Goodness:
Fig
Long before refined sugar filled our cupboards, the fig was cherished across ancient history as nature’s original sweetening agent. Just as the fig brought genuine sweetness and nourishment to ancient tables, God's goodness brings true, wholesome sweetness to a world that often relies on artificial substitutes.
Biblical goodness is far more than mere moral duty; it is rich, wholesome, and deeply satisfying to the soul. This painting connects biblical history with timeless truth, inviting the viewer to taste, see, and share the rich, unadulterated goodness of the Creator.
Fruit 07

Faithfulness:
Grapes
At the Last Supper, Jesus used wine made from grapes to represent the blood of the New Covenant, offering the ultimate picture of devotion, sacrifice, and faithfulness.
Faithfulness is not a fleeting emotion. Instead, it is a steadfast commitment that endures through every season. Painted in muted tones reminiscent of classical paintings, this piece honors the timeless depth of that promise. The darker, historic palette serves as a reminder that God’s faithfulness is not a new concept or a modern invention; it has been present from the very dawn of creation.

Fruit 08
Gentleness:
Peach
True gentleness is not weakness, but rather strength under control. Intentional care is required to handle soft, vulnerable things without crushing them. Peaches require a delicate touch, as the slightest pressure can bruise them or tear their soft skin.
The exposed pit serves as a reminder that when we approach others with gentleness, we create a safe space for hearts to open and expose their core without fear of being bruised.
This painting invites the viewer to practice delicate care in a harsh world, mirroring the tender, gentle way God handles our fragile hearts.
Fruit 09

Self-Control:
Pineapple
With its sharp, spiky exterior, a pineapple requires careful handling to avoid getting hurt. As my favorite fruit, it also presents a very personal challenge... Without practicing self-control, I could easily eat the whole thing at once!
Just as the fruit’s prickly outer rind acts as a natural boundary protecting the sweet yumminess inside, self-control serves as a healthy boundary in our daily lives. True self-control is not about deprivation, but about mastering our impulses, protecting our peace, and enjoying God's gifts in a healthy and balanced way.
