He Doesn't Need Your Boat - Original Painting

He Doesn't Need Your Boat is an original watercolor painting depicting a scene of a row boat and Jesus. Floating on the colorful, flowing water, the row boat sits empty without a captain nor a passenger. On the opposite side of the painting, Jesus is seen calmly walking on water away from the boat, with the water seeming to glow from his presence.

In Mark 6:48-51, Jesus is seen walking on water and then joins his very surprised disciples in their boat. This painting illustrates to the viewer that Jesus does not need your boat. He can walk on water! Jesus chose to get in the boat with his followers; he did not need to in order to cross that lake. Jesus wanted to join his disciples in their boat. Meaning that God does not need us; instead He wants us. Let this painting be a reminder that God loves you and does not need, but rather chooses to join you in your boat in His steadfast faithfulness.
